GOALS & VISION
In conjunction with the Village's new wellhouse project, Century East Park will see improvements to park paths to provide for continuous pathways between the north and south sides of the park. Construction begins Monday, April 15, weather permitting. The playground should remain open during construction, but please adhere to any unanticipated temporary closures and safety signs.
Phase 1: Relocation of Southern Path and Addition of Playground Path
Due to the increased footprint of the wellhouse and new detention, the southern park path will be moved westward. To facilitate travel between the north and south ends of the park, a new path extension will be installed around the playground to connect the north and south paths.
Phase 2: Construction of New Well-House
Estimated to begin this fall, the Village will be demolishing the existing wellhouse and constructing a new, larger wellhouse to serve the community.
